Tentative Program Schedule

Tentative Program Schedule for the Historic Second Global Summit on Indigenous Peacebuilding on 25 & 26 April 2026 in New York. This is a weekend, so come and spend the two days with us with joy.

To make the Summit relatable to one and all, we are dividing the two days into 4 Seasons namely

1 - Spring
2 - Summer
3 - Fall
4 - Winter



25 ARPIL 2026, 8.30 AM to 12 PM
DAY ONE - SPRING
Spring is birth - of peoples, law, peace, and responsibility.

  • 8 am: Registration
  • 8.30 am: Opening ceremony starts
    Welcoming, Invoking, Blessing, Honoring, Igniting, Beginings
  • 9 am - 10 am: Inaugural Session
  • 10 am - 10.30 am: Inaugurations of Weaving for Peace Exhibition, Group Photo and Tea/Coffee refreshments
  • 10.30 am - 1 pm: Spring Session starts. Origin Stories, Remembering, Birthing, Igniting, Beginning, Continuing for today and the next seven generations
  • 1 pm - 2 pm: Lunch & Wellness Break




25 APRIL 2026, 2 PM to 5.30 PM
DAY ONE - SUMMER
Summer is heat, confrontation, extraction - and courage.

  • 2 PM - 3.30 PM: CONFLICT, TECHNOLOGY, RESISTANCE & PROTECTION OF LIFE
    • War in Indigenous lands and biodiversity hotspots
    • AI, militarization, surveillance vs indigenous ethics
    • Indigenous data sovereignty
    • Extractive Industries, critical minerals
    • Indigenous women protecting land and life
    • Protection rituals for defenders and negotiators
  • 3.30 pm - 4 pm: Afternoon tea/coffee/refreshments/Wellness Break
  • 4 pm - 5.30 pm: Honoring 100 Indigenous Peacebuilders & Book launch

DAY TWO - AUTUMN
Autumn is harvest - of food, wisdom, and nurturing life and relationships with earth and its worldmaking.

  • 8 am: Registration
  • 8.30 am: Yaikarol - Pena Indigenous Prayer Music by an Indigenous woman pena player, Penna Donna, joining live from Manipur, along with other relatives.
  • 9 am to 10 am: Start of Panel

    RESTORING, DIALOGUE, MEDIATING, NEGOTIATION, RECONCILATION, WOMEN WEAVING PEACE, HEALING & REPAIR
    • Arts and Science of Dialogue, Mediation, Negotiation and Reconciliation
    • Indigenous Women, Peace Processes, Conflict and Environmental Peacebuilding
    • Indigenous circular economies
    • Food, medicine, healing and health sovereignty
    • Weaving, beading, basketry as peace practices
  • 10 am - 10.30 am: Tea/Coffee Wellness Break

DAY TWO - WINTER
Winter is preparation, endurance, and vision.

    DIPLOMACY, TREATIES, PRESENT & CRAFTING A FUTURE PEACE ARCHITECTURE
    • Indigenous constitutions & nation-making
    • Treaties as living law
    • Peace diplomacy with states, corporations, groups
    • Peace with and beyond Earth - nature, spirituality, space, universe
    • Indigenous Mothers March for peace, Healing and Unity
    • Online book and course curriculum on Indigenous Peacebuilding
    • Calling on United Nations for a Peace Caucus and declare International Decade on Indigenous Peacebuilding
  • 3 pm – 3.30 pm: Tea/Coffee/Refreshment & Wellness Break
    Music by Council of Elders
  • 3.30 pm - 4 pm: Signing of Peace Treaties Ceremony
  • 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm CLOSING CEREMONY: Statements, adoption of Mahicantuk Hudson River Declaration, launch of Indigenous Mother's March for Peace, Healing and Global Unity
